JH> I am constantly hearing people refer to the speed of a video JH> card by how much RAM it has. Someone correct if I'm wrong, JH> but isn't this false? The amount of RAM on a video card JH> controls only it's maximum resolution and colour JH> combinations; not how fast it updates the screen. Upgrading some Cirrus Logic cards from one meg to two meg will allow the video chip to use memory interleaving to get better performance. I haven't heard of any other mfr with this tweak, though it could be they just don't say anything about it.
