What about 3:640/6666 or 3:640/305.6666 ?  As these contain numerals which
are greater than 999, would it then fail ?  I ask this because Alex is
trying for a node address which is the same as his current point address
(and the last four digits of his telephone number), and I've seen several
Zone 1 addresses with 4 or more digits too.

That's OK if the recipient is calling the same board, but without an
address, how would it be routed through other nodes ?

That's the only method which worked for me with QWK.

It's both actually.

Que?  I just checked my message base, and neither netmail nor echomail has
any address info in the message body itself.  In fact, they appear
identical in format.  It's the tosser (no offence!) and the editor which
determine how a netmail is sent, not the manner in which it's addressed
(using PKT format of course, dunno about QWK).
