It was their idea of a joke. It's no lie either and happened as I was crossing into Crocker Park in Marblehead MA. TR> Secondly, if you were "a kid", no Hells Angel would bother with TR> you in the first place, and certainly would not take a chance on TR> a bust (which would include a body search, and search of the TR> immediate area of the arrest scene) for something so chickenshit TR> as furnishing alchoholic beverages to "a kid". You've GOT to be kidding. Marblehead has a small town police department and the Angels were never at at risk of a "bust." When I'd left that town in 1970 there'd been exactly one murder in 47 years. Hell the Marblehead police didn't even bust people at a "Seatrain" concert despite woman baring their breasts and widespread open marijuana use in plain sight of the officers. Seatrain even released an album "Marblehead Messenger" after the then town newspaper and used the paper's logo as album cover. TR> Thirdly, I have met many Hells Angels over the years, and they TR> have little or nothing to do with `outsiders' who are not members TR> of some recognized outlaw club or other. Yet you've met "many Hells Angels over the years", I but one time. TR> They are like the Mafia TR> in that respect; you would have to be really `trying' to get TR> intimidated by one of them, by either getting up in ones face, or TR> being involved in an illegal transaction with one or more of TR> them, and deliberately `burning' them. No thanks. TR> If you are a `civilian' or a lone biker who just rides without TR> affiliation to an outlaw club, if you stay away from the Angels, TR> and not try to be a wannabe, or `groupie', they completely ignore TR> you. True for the most part of any MC. TR> The Angels I met over the years, and talked to or drank beer TR> with, were nice to `civilians'. When something was going on they TR> didn't want `civilians' getting mixed into, they either took it TR> elsewhere, or would ask the `civilians' to leave. Well most of my experience is with the Pagans, Satan Saints, Renegades and Outlaws. When any of the above entered a biker bar they were generally looking to either for members of a rival group or to trash someone who caused them a problem, other than that they generally hang out at their clubhouses. TR> There are (or were) two bars that were notorious hangouts for TR> Angels and Mongols. Both bars saw their share of shootings TR> between the two clubs over the years. `Civilians' were only TR> involved either by accident, or they were part of something TR> (usually a drug deal or stolen bike parts) that one or the other TR> club was into and they were fighting over. Never seen an "Angel" in Florida, never heard of the "Mongols" at all. TR> You may or may not have ever met an actual Hells Angel. But they TR> weren't trying to "intimidate" you (it wouldn't be necessary. If TR> you fucked up with them deliberately, they'd just shoot you out TR> of hand), they wouldn't even take notice of you. And if you were TR> "a kid", they certainly wouldn't have furnished you with TR> alchohol. Yet that's exactly what they did. I stuck around for the one beer and moved onto where I'd been headed. TR> And you can forget the "switch blade knives" bullshit. Thats kid TR> stuff. Didn't I say as much?
