| subject: | WARP WIN32 API |
I just recieved Volume 8 of the Warp Developers Disk. In the paper
that comes with the CD's there was an article about the new WIN32 API
for OS/2 Warp. This API was implemented to enable developers of WIN32
compliant applications to just recompile there Windows 95 or Windows NT
application and get a native 32-bit OS/2 application.
Some say that IBM has caved in to Microsoft. I think it's one of the
best moves that IBM has made. Now there is really no excuse for
developers not to compile for OS/2. It increases their potential
customer base without the need for two sets of code and possibly two
development teams.
I can't wait to see what the real impact of this move will be.
