Right John.  The reason that string only works when you dial out is
because it's in your "dial" string.  Also ATS95=1 is *not* the same as
ATS95=3.  This is what forces the modem to report the connect rate as
opposed to DTE.
Try this, ATS11=60S95=3M0&W0.  This will store these settings in NVRAM
for you.  Then you can use a simple ATDT for your dial string and
continue to use ATZ for your init string.
