PF> Yes...install Warp Connect and "net use" your own drives.
PH> Seriously, I rather wanted to know about how UNCs are
PH> implemented in the FSD. Are there hooks reserved for
PH> that ? Perhaps this would give us a possibility to get
PH> rid of those drive letters.
I suppose you could do it, but you'd have to load the disk *.add
(IBMST506.ADD or whatever) with the /!DM switch, so that OS2DASD.DMD
ignores it. You would therefore not be able to use any of the following
with that physical disk:
FDISK
FORMAT
FAT
HPFS
others.
PH> Many people want NUMLOCK turned on permanently in
PH> OS/2.
The source code for the keyboard driver is on the devcon ddk; change it to
ignore any numlock-off requests.
PH> There are yet only two caveats: I can't turn on NUMLOCK for PM-Sessions
PH> and altough NUMLOCK works "correctly" in windowed
PH> sessions, PM prevents the keyboard lights to show the
PH> _real_ keyboard state. So NUMLOCK works designed but
I have seen this too, but not on all PC's. There's another ioctl to
control the LEDs I think, but I don't remember what it is right now.
