No you cannot get BBC stuff or ITV yet in the U.S.A. BBC are planning on
merging to create a couple of new cable channels in the U.S. when that
happens A&E and PBS can kiss their BBC stuff goodbye. Also if the Murdoch
takeover of Echostar actually happens then you will get more U.K.,
programming. In the meantime you will have to be satisfied with the BBc
breakfast news on G9 1 at 0255hrs EST Monday to Friday. It's on for 30
minutes. here in Bermuda the local Cable Company carries BBC World a 24 hr
news channel interspersed with 'Top Gear' Film 97' Tomorrows World Etc' it's
quite good but I am not signing up with Cable for one channel. If BBC Prime
became available I would do it. That has all the regular BBC programmes. The
cable company get this from one of the Intelsat satellites I believe. They
have a special dish just for that one channel. Hope this helps.
