I bitched about that slash for years - then found one that tops that. 
It even beats out the 'WIN' kb for irritation value.  Went to work on a
contract and they sat me in front of a Compaq.  The keyboard has all
the keys in the 'right' place, but they split the space bar in half
then made the left half a BACKSPACE KEY!  I spent the first 3 days
erasing half of what I wrote as I left-thumbed the sapce bar, then the
next 2 days figuring out how to re-map that stupid thing!
