I forgot who asked this before, but here is an easier way that I just 
discovered to get on the IRC while on AOL.
 
1st Get the software mIRC (If the need it, tell them to Email me at 
Sbkirkham@aol.com)
2nd Log on to AOL
3rd Goto WIN95 START and run the software mIRC.
4th Set it up (Configure it for your name and stuff like that)
5th Select Undernet AOL and voila, you are on the IRC!
 
A lot simpler than I described before.
