: LD, I read in "lock time" about that rifle you picked up. Never heard
back, they were made in Texas I think, very neat, and I noticed little
things on it that reminded me of a 22 rimfire I have. The gun is made
from some Feather Ind parts. Remember the Feather 22? The story told to
me was the guns were multi caliber, easily changed, Bi-pod mount,it had
several dovetail grooves cut top, and bottom to hold lights, lasers,
bipod, scope etc. Overall very neat. The bottle/rear stock reminded me
of a paint ball gun. Actually the whole gun reminded me of that! The
builder said CO2/PCP I will let you tell us the brand name. I am pretty
sure I know it, He said he was marketing it overseas only, we'd have to
buy in in the UK, not Texas. Mike/OH/USA
Mike,
Actually there is no reason to purchase anything other than the
moderator from the UK. I talked to Mr. McCasalin this AM and was told
that I could get them sans moderator as soon as the guns at the shot
show came back to Texas. He said he only has about thirty pieces on hand
but that should last a couple of weeks. Then he needs to get more tanks.
He has plenty of guns but the tanks will be the thing that holds up
deliveries first. There is no reason to worry about parts and the like.
He is sending me a small starter kit of spares and we will get more
later as required. The project for us is to improve the effecientcy on
air and to test the feasability of using CO2 in the system. Ld has
already lowered the power to around 20 ft. lbs. Shooting Wasps .22 at
800 and the accuracy is very good. Hopefully the number of shots can be
increased significantly. I have never seen a breakdown rig that was this
light and portable with the energy levels this puts out. It is like the
backpack slugger of all time. I'm impressed. Last year I voted it as the
gun that would never happen. I was wrong folks. I can tell you that at
$500 (No Moderator)this is going to be a great seller. I have a few on
the way. That includes the charging adapter.
Of course our usual prep and backing will apply.
Later Tim
