BL> If I promise to try ppoint, will you stop bothering me?

 BG> Keith's a bit like a broken record, isn't he! |-)

 RM> Hey Bill - 4dos has a
RM> Windows command line version now!!

Aaargh! There is a guy on the PCUG who is even more rabid for XDOS
(where X = the number of legs on half a spider) than you. He bothered
me until I downloaded it (2M at 2400 baud = it took me a week), only
to find that the manual was another 2Meg and 700 pages... too much to
print, and too much to put on the screen! ROFL.

I looked at it and thought "What am I going to do with another DOS?"
and I couldn't think of one reason! So I went back to Chris and
asked him about the manual, so he recommended Norton Utilities because
it had NDOS... but it didn't have a manual either! ROFL! So I threw it
out the window and I've lived a happy life ever since.

Now you tell me there's a Windows version of half-a-spider-DOS. If
you've got Windows, what do you want with another DOS? ROFL!!!

BL> What do I have to download besides ppoint? Binkley, Squish, and
BL> all sorts of crap, I suppose.

BG> No, just Ppoint and Binkley, and a nodelist would help
 BG> (optional).

RM> forget the nodelist for now - the instructions are in braille.
RM> But a vanilla ppoint install, with a vanilla bink install in
RM> the same subdir, should work first try. It did for me, and I
RM> typically loathe point software. The unsorted mail gets to be a
RM> pain, though, so you then install Paul Markham's excellent mail
RM> sorter (a meg or two of 386 xms may be needed) in the
RM> MAILER.BAT batch file that the ppoint install generates.

He, he, he. And then you instal TinyPoint and start *answering* mail
rather than installing point software.

Regards,
Bob
