I seemed to be able to complete the file transfer without problems after
issuing the following mode command before starting Binkley.

mode com2:38400,n,8,1,idsr=off,odsr=off,octs=on,rts=hs,dtr=on,to=off

Unfortunately I don't think that Netcomm will give me a free ROM upgrade as
the modem is no longer under warranty (more than two years old), and I
refuse to spend any more money on a modem from Netcomm that never did do
what it was claimed to do in the first place.
