subject: BASIC for OS/2

I've patiently waited for a version of BASIC for OS/2, generally lurking
here and in the OS/2 conf. A person in the OS/2 area stated that there
were BASIC's availiable. (An extract from his list:)

    * BASIC
         + BASIC, BASICA, and QBASIC for DOS come with OS/2
         + CA-Realizer (Computer Associates International, Inc.)
         + ObjectView PM BASIC

Trying both BASICA and BASIC I get the following error:
'ROM portion of BASIC not found'. Plodding further I find that QBASIC like
MS-QBASIC still doesn't have a compiler.  So, what's CA-Realizer, and
ObjectView PM BASIC? Obviously something I have to buy, but are we talking
about development kits that do the full 32-bit PM magic - WITH - a
compiler?

I'd love to delve into this matter without switching languages. I've been
using QuickBasic Extended (BASIC 7.0) for years, and don't have any
interest in learning another language, but I'd love to fully exploit OS/2-s
PM stuffs.

Anyone gotta helping hand out there?
