Hello All!
I have a k56 Supra Express. I find the on-line manual (as well as the list of
V.34 commands that someone was nice enough to send me) very confusing.
What I want to do in a nutshell are the following:
1) I want to turn OFF the speaker at ALL times, unless I specifically ask for
sound (I run a BBS and often leave the computer unattended...ie overnight, at
work, etc...no need for speaker!)
2) I want to show the CONNECT rate rather than the locked baud rate. As a BBS
sysop, it's imperitive to show the CONNECT rate to the computer so as to
accurately reflect download times, etc.
I have been running this board for 5 years and have NEVER seen a harder modem
to configure! I've tried just about everything and nothing seems to work to
fix these two problems....
Can someone PLEASE give me an init string that'll do both of these things???
Thanks...
        John
PS...I've already tried emailing tech support...no answer!!! :(
... Crystal balls aren't very productive ...
