Hi Daniel,
   I took a guess that would be about the right diet. To recap the lost 
message I was offered a job training birds at the local pet store.Needless to 
say I didn't need much convincing :) In addition to training I am also 
responsible for proper diet,toys, warning signs of health problems etc.The 
only thing I don't have to do  is actually clean  the cages.
   Two weeks ago the owner offered me the Ringneck and her cage for $418.00 
+tax - a seventy dollar reduction,now he has offered her  and cage to me for 
$289.00 no tax or I can just work the price of her off. Pretty hard to 
refuse, he is getting concerned that given her age - almost two that she may 
be untrainable. He's wrong ;) in  two days I had her eating from my hand, she 
won't climb on my hand yet but that will take time and patience. It took me a 
year and a half to win the trust of Syd my tiel who was abused, so I'm pretty 
sure I can eventually win her over.From the first day I started there a week 
ago I would walk past her cage wolf whistle and say hello, two days ago I was 
working with a Budgie within sight of her but no matter what antics she did I 
acted like I was ignoring her.As clear as a bell she wolf whistled and said 
hello. I answered her-she answered back.
   As you can probably tell I'm hooked.I pushed my luck with her the other 
day and she very nicely took a chunk out of my lip.I deserved it and the 
Tetanus shot I went for.As far as the manager is concerned she's mine ,he 
took the price tag off her cage today.I told him not to because I will not 
commit to the purchase until I work with her more, he just laughed and said 
"sure Deb and what have you named her?" 
   Her name is Jade :))
