As far as shocks go for road bike a while back we had this discussion. I find 
that if the asphalt around where you ride is relatively free from major bumps 
I don't think it is worth the extra weight. As for the Dale it comes as part 
of the headset so I'm not sure how much weight it adds. Is it cheaper to buy 
the Dale without the shock?
