Not at all.  He merely unlinked the fidonews echo (and a few other
echoes) from his BBS.

There is no argument, as the rules clearly state -

"Every sysop" - regardless of zone.
"any user" - regardless of zone.
"reading and writing in it" - full participation.

Be kind.  Especially to your web-footed friends.  Let them know
what echoes you are interested in, and most sysops would be glad
to help (including adding an echo if you ask nicely).  Those who
refuse to be of help aren't worth the bother, in which case you
simply move on to another BBS.  :)
