I'm sure there are as many answers to this question as there are people,
but my experience is manyfold.  There is a quiet voice that I hear in
meditation that doesn't sound like *mine*.  There's a different style
to it, a serenity that I sure as hell don't possess...then, there are
the *things* that happen in the outside world.  Things that just *have*
to be a response to my prayer.  Then again, there are the people in 
my life who turn out to be just who I need to either learn a lesson
or teach a lesson.....
