I am using the msgapi32.dll since it was released officially about 1 1/2
years ago without problems, and definitely it does not try to call back
main() (have a look at the source).

You need to create an import library in emx format (.a), and that's all
:-). Use emximp to convert the following text into msgapi32.a, then link
with it. If it does not work, post a (shortened) example of a failing
program.
