I dunno about how it might burn, but from what I understand there's a lot of
trouble with varnish, etc. in the carb, more than anyplace else...
I worked for a while at a warehouse that sold lots of parts for outdoor power
equipment, and that strikes me as more likely than anything else (excepting
standby generators) to show this problem, and they sure sold one heck of a
lot of carb parts.

Or even just turning the engine over by hand a bit before starting it. Good
