Then you have a problem. I won't lecture you about trying to circumvent copy
protections; If as a programmer you don't already appreciate intellectual
property rights, nothing I can say will change your mind.
Recommend you find an archiving component that's in your price range.
TurboPower will be releasing Abbrevia sometime third quarter, with a price of
$200, and their products are generally excellent. I'm sure I've seen
shareware archive components in the $100 range, as well.
Cost of a library or component is one of the first things I check - if it's
out of my or my client's price range I don't even bother trying it.
