| subject: | Garbage in the nodelist |
Hello Ross, >>> and the listings in Z6 are none of your business, MV>> That is your opinion to which you are entitled. MV>> My opinion is that nodelist clerks are servants who can be held MV>> accountable by those they serve: i.e. anyone sysop who's system is MV>> affected by how they maintain the nodelist. > But Carol isnt your servant, I think she is. /If/ each zone would only use their own nodelist segment and those segments would not be distributed outside the zone and interzone mail would only go through the official zone gates, you would have a point. What is in the Z6 segment would not affect me. But that is not the case. The segments are distributed world wide, every Fidonet member uses the full nodelist (as per policy) and so every Fidonet sysop is affected. The nodelist is a team effort of the nodelist clerks and Carol is part of that team. O, yes she definitely is my servant too. If there is garbage in the nodelist it affects every one who makes use of it. That includes me and so it is my business too.
