From: Randall Parker How do I configure them to use a common protocol? Its not clear to me where one goes to do that. Also, why do they need to be in the same subnet? My NT box is at 207.105.135.10 and I can't ping it from the Win2k machine. I can ping the NT machine from another NT machine though. The Win2k machine is at 192.168.0.25 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. So is no stuff getting routed out that port when I ping the NT machine? The ping fails very rapidly rather than waiting for a response. Maybe the OS knows it has no place to send the ping to. Should I change it to a different address that is closer to the NT machine's address?
