  True. Qedit inserts cr lf which you then change to hex 00 00 with
the hex editor. It told Dieter that.

editor only changes what is already there.

  You're wrong about that, Paul. qwk2pkt does not produce a timestamp,
and it never did - just nulls. Does the nul packet have to have a
timestamp? Do you want me to change it? If so, what date and time
would you like?
