It's forbidden for cause of topic-delimitation, just to avoid having
topics of all music echoes bleeding into this one. Tool belongs more to
Metal imho. I'm not quite sure about Korn and NIN, but to me NIN
belongs more to Industrial though it doesn't sound like KMFDM, Die
Krupps, and Einstuerzende Neubauten. (we can expect originality from
any band, methinks )
And besides, to me, new progressive is Anekdoten, Happy Family,
H”yry-Kone, Miriodor, Ozric Tentacles, and such. 'progressive' here is
more used as a label than a description of the actual stuff, even
though i believe most of those bands, if not all, deserve it. (only
about O.T. i'm not sure...)
