It's the access to areas.bbs that mark mentioned that causes this. One you turn
that off this won't happen anymore.

The default of nodes being able to add any areas in your areas.bbs works fine
for most nodes that have just one net and not feeding other nodes. If you are
feeding other nodes and have more than one net then it's a good idea to turn
that off.

Once you do that nodes can only access areas in the area lists you give them
access to so you'll want to be sure those are up to date.
