For sure, Watcom misunderstood. I realize now that their spokesman , and
the tech that advised her, did not understand. However, they published the
specs. When they say that their code is optimized for the pentium, they
mean that they re-order the instructionss; they do not mean that they
generate Pentium-specific instructions.
