(to larry) that's kinda dumb to do - all that's going to happen is you'll get
some pissed off users. Also, having another letter doesn't solve anything, it
causes more work for you (everytime someone uploads something you have to
re-silt) and there's a chance they can guess the letter anyways, if they know
it exists. And if one of these pissed-off users finds it, he could say "wow,
60 megs free, lets' upload a 60 meg file of garbage!"

that would do it - if you wanted to use keys it would be really simple. Just
give them a key, then in your logon procedure, put a
[keyoff]
and it guarantees that the key will be off next time they call.
but the easiest way, is just to allow file-attaches in your comments to sysop
area, and have them attach it to a message. Not only are you alerted that
they uploaded it, but you don't have to mess around with keys and people can
upload files to you personally anytime they want. You could even (probably -
if it accepts keys, i've never tried) set this in max.ctl:
Message Edit Ask FileAttach Limited/!N
(or Limited/N)
or whatever.. The first one will not let anyone with key N to fileattach, the
second will only allow people with key N to file attach..
it all depends on what you want to do i guess.
