They are made by Greg Makie who was responsible for most of Tapco's
designs ( they made small popular sound equipment about ten years ago )
and he has made a really great line of affordable high-quality mixing
boards.  His eight-bus unit for $3.8K is giving me some severe drooling
problems   They also make smaller two-buss mixers in the couple
hundred range - perfect for a small multi-track.
The products are so new and so good that I don't think there will be
many on the used market for some time and the ones that do show up have
probably met with a less than perfect "lifestyle" and are being sold for
a reason...
