For several years I have had considerable success taking my dalhia
tubers directly from their winter storage in cool celler moist peat
moss and planting them directly into the ground after the danger of
frost has passed.
My mailman, Bruce, is also a home gardener and finds it useful to
take his dalhia tubers out of their moist peat moss several days
before planting; so that they are quite dry and may they even have
produced a few sproutings in response to the warmth.
(Now Bruce is a fine mailman, but I have never seen his garden.8-)
So before I take a chance with my tubers I would appreciate some of
your possible experiences please.
Ciao, Ack.
