This is not the only answer (if DosKillThread is not working,  it is not
because you used _beginthread,  but some other reason).

DosKillThread() and DosSuspendThread() (along with DosEnterCritSec()) are
some of the worst API's put in to OS/2 --- and even the guys who put them
there will tell you not to use them.

If you explain where you want to use them,  i'm sure someone will tell you
the more friendly way to accomplish the same thing.
