Hi Christi,
CW> etc. RH>In Switzerland I got a couple with narrow (1/4") bands of
CW> petit point RH>worked around them.
CW> I have only collected in Mo. , Arkansas, Indiana, and Illinois, but I
CW> have quite a collecting including a crystal cut one and of cours
CW> e wooden and porcelain , with grandma, mom and so on I even
CW> have several precious moments.
It is fun when you travel to collect different ones; I've got a mini
beer stein one that one of my friends got me in Germany, one with a
"crown" from England and lots of other interesting ones. I don't have
any PM but do have Hummel and Wedgewood. None of them are used for
sewing either; I rarely use one for sewing anyway.
CW> compliment to my sewing. I'll have to look RH>thru for duplicates (I
CW> think I may have a couple.) if you're interested.
CW> Let me know what kind and I will get back to you.
OK, I will. My dad is refurbishing a type case that I got several years
ago in England for display; I've about run out of room in all of my
other display cases. I gave him an idea on the doors a couple of weeks
ago but have to give him revised instructions as I came up with a better
idea for it.
Dad also got some old pieces of wool once used for Army uniforms. Since
the Army doesn't use the wool or that shade of green any more, someone
gave it to him. He will be sending it to me and I want to try felting
some of it. A couple of my sewing magazines have basic instructions on
how to do it with a washing machine. I want to make a boiled (felted)
wool jacket like the Austrian ones I've seen at an astronomical price.
Then I'll take a piece of unfelted and make a matching skirt.
Catch you later,
Ruth
