RG> center pull. I remember the centers would jam sometimes. I found the
RG> v-brake on a $500 (Canadian) mountain bike. They use to sell on bikes
RG> $1000 and up.
I often see that "v-style" brakes are appearing on less expensive bikes... 
These [IMHO] are not V-brakes per-se, but a cheaper version of the original 
v-brakes. These new cheaper brakes lack the parallel-pull/push mechanism, and 
I liken them to a cantelever brake, but with some additional strength.
I also see it as a form false or misleading advertising.
