The message from Kenneth Newman rises higher:

I KNOW you will like Miriodor. As for the 5uu's, one of the CDs I've
bought over the last few months I was absent from this echo was a 5uu's
compilation CD called _Point of Views_. It is a collection of selected
tracks from their _Bel Marduk & Tiamut_ and _Elements_ LP, the _Bar
Code_ 7" single, and a track originally released with the ReR Quarterly
magazine. The music here is fantastic with much emphasis on
percussion. I like it better than Hunger's Teeth_.

KN> Same story with Miriodor, haven't heard Hoyry-Kone yet,

Have you checked out the Hungarian band Korai Orom? I have their
self-titled and enjoy it immensely. Kind of like The Ozrics without any
real leads and more influence of African and Mid-Eastern music. More
layers than The Ozrics, too.
On a different subject, I'm currently playing "Imagining" from GTR on
the _Live on The King Biscuit Flower Hour 1986_. I never liked the
sound on the GTR album, but I did like some of the music. I figured
that the KBFH recording engineers could probably do a pretty decent job
with the sound, and I was right. I'm still not overly impressed with
GTR, but both Steve Hackett and Steve Howe are good here as is the rest
of the band. Even John Mover (drummer) shows off a little now and then.
There's a really nice Genesis/Hackett medley that includes:
"Spectral Mornings"
"After The Ordeal" (the ending lead electric part)
"Watcher of the Skies" (about 10 seconds of the intro)
"Unquiet Slumbers for the Sleepers"
"I Know What I Like"
I had that last bit on a bootleg at some point. It's really odd to hear
Kevin Bacon (lead vocalist) singing this, but it actually does work.
There's some girl in the audience that starts freaking out when Kevin
says, "It's one o'clock and time for lunch." :-) The only weakness is
with the keyboardist, who is basically non-existent.
Howe does his beautiful "Sketches in the Sun" and the band does a
respectable version of "Roundabout." There's a pretty decent song
called "Pennants," which I've never heard before. Maybe a Howe solo
song? It's definitely him on lead.
