subject: new passwords

Would everyone please make sure that when they are sending
netmail messages they use a proper (ie fidonet-listed)
address, instead of just sending messages to random
destinations to people who don't want to receive them.
Anyone who doesn't have the technology to accomplish
this, please contact me and we'll see if we can find
some appropriate technology to solve the problem.

This applies quadruply to messages to Areafix, where
failure to specify either 3:711/934, or something
innocuous like your own address, could cause your
password to be compromised. People who have a password
protected session with me get their mail processed
automatically, unlike everyone else, so it is important
not to compromise your password.

Would the following people, who have compromised their
password to my knowledge, please send me a netmail with
a new password. Sometime shortly after I receive the
password I will update the config files so you will need
to change your password in your own config. I suggest
you wait until you get a failed connection, and then
try your new password.:

Frank Malcolm
Bob Lawrence
Dieter Mirbach

Because last time I politely requested people to send me
a new password I didn't get any responses (or at least any
responses with a new password), this time I won't be polite.

YOU FUCKING PRICKS JUST DO IT YOU BASTARDS.

Oh, and if I don't get new passwords from you, I will make
up a new password myself and put it in. Of course, you
won't be able to get my netmail telling you what the new
password is, because you won't be able to connect without
your new password. But don't worry, the password I choose
will be 8 or less alpha characters, meaning that you
only have to dial 208827064576 times to be sure of finding
out the new password.

Thanks for your cooperation. Paul.
