yearh, i think that beoing were looking to airbus to help develop it,
its such a big project that even they dont have the resources to go it
alone.

yep, they used them to shoot down v1s, i think that a couple of extra
lucky souls actually bagged mig-15s with them in korea. the poms used
them as night fighters up to the early 60s. this particular example was
the station hack, used as a high speed taxi or delivery van. the english
electric plane was probably the canberra light bomber, one of the truely
greats for it's day. last year, in the uk, i went to duxford aircraft
museum (a must for anybody with any interest in aviation), and there was
a privately owned canberra practicing for an airshow. it must be nice to
have real serious money (:
