Watch the paths, and also bear in mind that I'm using Bink 2.50, which may
have slightly different commands or syntax from subsequent versions.

Sounds like Paul's modem isn't sending yours an ACK for each block.

More than likely one of the modems is just timing out.

Check your modem manual - an S register inquiry (S86 perhaps?) will give
you the reason for the disconnect.  It may not be your fault.

Why not try sending a file to another system, anyone who allows freqs from
unlisted systems will do.  I bet it works, as I suspect that the problem
may be at Paul's end, even though I had no trouble sending him a ~400k file
recently.
