Actually,  with some cards adding more memor will make DOOM (the dos
full-screen graphics program) run faster,  because the card will interleave
the memory.  No more memory is "used",  but it is arranged in a
more favorable addressing scheme on the card.

This DOOM talk has given me an urge to shoot something...gotta go!
