Hi, Paul.

PE> Yes, that's correct.

PE> FM> Then what should I do? Send you a file in the right format and in

With this mail run is addstock.zip which contains addstock. It contains
6 days (22/23/24/27/28/29) for the following reasons.

27th was a public holiday but my extract extracted it anyway, so I
included it in case your program expects something for every day of the
week. Of course all volumes are zero.

I included 22 & 29 because there are some anomalies which you might like
to consider. Some stocks don't agree with your file for the 22nd and
29th. An example is ABK, which I think is suspended or delisted but it
appears anyway with zero volume. You have the prices at 0.5 cents, I
have them at 0.1666. I don't know why this is so. In my extract that
should be the last price at which they *did* trade.

I think there was also some rounding differences, but I can't remember
which stocks I noticed that on.

Anyway, you can very easily delete these dates with a text editor if you
don't want them.

Another minor difference is that I show at least 2 decimal places, more
if necessary, whereas you would show eg $2.10 as 2.1, me as 2.10.

PE> FM> There were four stock codes which were illegal - BT1, FL1,
NC1 & SP1 -
PE> FM> do you know what they are?

PE> BTR PLC 'A' BTLA
PE> FLETCHER CHALLENGE
PE> NEWS CORP PREF NCPDP
PE> SPOT SERV FPO 25c

I wonder why they didn't use the right codes, then? Except for FLC,
which is no longer listed - it's subsidiaries are separately listed as
eg FLCFS for the forestry division. BTLA and NCPDP are in my data anyway
with the right codes, which means they must also be in yours with the
right codes because of how I created my code list. I don't know the code
for Spotless off the top of my head, but I bet it's in there too.

Regards, fIM.
