Roger, when I stopped at the Liard Hot Springs on my way to and from Fort
Nelson last week. I had very little trouble explaining the basic Canadian
health care system to the Americans there (they liked universal coverage
financed by taxes). How it works has also been discussed at length in this
echo.
The services once offered by charity hospitals never compared in depth or
breadth to the services offered through our health care system. Comparing
the two would be like comparing apples to oranges.
