There is a product that's been out on the market for a number of years that I
highly recommend: AquaSeal. It has the consistency of model airplane cement
and will make a nice water tight repair. Curing time is 24 hours, or if you
buy the Cobol catalyst, less than one hour.
I've even used it to repair a waterbed mattress that the cat had sharpened
his claws on......without emptying the water! Truly great stuff.
