Don't waste your time on these, Jeff, they're not worth the effort... JH> Plodding further I find that QBASIC like MS-QBASIC still JH> doesn't have a compiler. Yep. Over here I keep getting a "packed file is corrupt" error when I envoke qbasic.exe... Go figure... JH> So, what's CA-Realizer... It's an $80.00 OS/2 port of the original Windows offering. In fact, when you buy it, you get the software for both platforms. It's not a true compiler and only generates tokenized, gui apps... In my book, I bought it, used it for a week or two and sold it... 'Nuff said... JH> ...ObjectView PM BASIC? Never actually saw this advertised ANYWHERE. I have heard, in this echo, that's it very pricey. Do me a favor, if you get a copy opf it, let me kno how you like it. :') JH> I'd love to delve into this matter without switching languages. "Matter" ? You mean OS/2? JH> I've been using QuickBasic Extended (BASIC 7.0) for years, and JH> don't have any interest in learning another language, but I'd JH> love to fully exploit OS/2-s PM stuffs. That's odd. I'd like to get away from all the GUI stuff and get back to basic text mode stuff... :') JH> Anyone gotta helping hand out there? Yeah, try Liberty Basic for OS/2. It's another windows port, but has a lot of promise. If the author, Carl Gundel, can find the time and deliver on all of his promises (are you listening Carl???) I believe Liberty has a wonderful future. I have Liberty for Warp 0.70 for freq or download as LB07.ZIP.
