This is highly inspecific help. I'd be interested in having the blend effect, 
but I do not think it is a windows feature (yet). It is not a documented 
windowstyle. We can set the windowstyle by overriding the CreateParams 
procedure. If you know how to blend the bar I'd like to see an example.
