Like I said, MAC addresses are broadcast in cleartext, so a decent
packet sniffer should be able to grab it. And who's to say the MAC is
physically active at the moment? Laptop battery couyld be dead, the machine
could have gone into hibernation, and so on. Heck, even the common
encryption schemes are broken. Basically WiFi is not as secure as some
would like to think.
