subject: Seeing Eye Resolution

The Seeing Eye's response to Marc Maurer's letter and the resolution did
indeed look like a sidestep. I'd have written to executive director Ken
Rosenthal anyway, but that reply moved me to do it quickly. He called
me back the next day (I had faxed to him via WordPerfect), and I came
away from that conversation thinking the school's people had done
nothing that should have prompted sidestepping afterwards. I've seen
nothing since then to suggest that there was, anything, either.
You may know that Rosenthal and another Seeing Eye staffer met with our
people in Baltimore. I was told that Rosenthal will talk about the
results of this meeting in the school's holiday message, a message that
goes to graduates on cassette each year around Christmas time. I hope
his comments will be directly on point.
I wonder if this subject heading's the longest-running one in this
conference to date. If not, I wonder what was.
