Please, I am trying to learn C++ with the C Set 2.1. I think what I'm doing is trashing the stack on various excercises. From what I gather, starting a thread and doing the work there is the safest way to go. I could prbably use the beginthread example from the docs as soon as I figure a couple of things out. What is an _optlink? Is this required for beginthread? I'm not sure what libs I am using. I do have the following: #include #include for the cin and cout functions. Do I need to use multithreaded libraries? I've seen some checkboxes in the various workframe setting pages for this option (these are unchecked.) Would I be better off waiting until I cover OOP basics before trying to launch a seperate thread to do textbook excercises? Any help would be appreciated.
