| subject: | LH.DLL Inquiry |
Hi Peter, I remember reading a message on Fido from you regarding your LH compression program that you had converted to a DLL. If I remember correctly, you said that you would be releasing this on an individual basis to people that NetMail you about it. I would like to get ahold of a copy of that, if possible. I'm developing a new version of a program I wrote, Archive Manager. The current version uses the command-line versions of LH and InfoZIP, which are not distributed with my program. The user is simply instructed as to where to find the appropriate files. In the new version, I'm planning to put the archive-processing code in DLLs wherever possible. Of course, this means that the DLL version of your program would need to be distributed with my program. I would, of course,be glad to put the appropriate copyright notices in my program to acknowledge the presence of your DLL, but are there other legal implications to this that I don't know about? Thanks in advance for any information you might provide.
