Ta. In the short term I'll use PKZIP, then. Most of my life is buried in
a ZIP file somewhere, and I therefore do a *lot* of testing before
changing archivers. I just don't have the time to do that, so if ZIP is
compatible with 2.04g that's great.

The Telix dialog box says it's connected, then it takes nearly 3 seconds
before it switches from the dialog box to the display which goes with
sending the Yoohoo. This is the relevant bit...

... I don't know how to speed that bit up, and as you say there may be a
further delay (possibly related to the Spirit Thunder) between yours
sending the CONNECT and mine recognising it. Any suggestions welcome.

Nearly a full line before the  (OLX won't let me enter that) on
this 486DX/50.
