Have you got the new modem yet ?

Remember our playing around before I went away, when we couldn't
get a reliable connect at anything over 1200 Baud ? Well, I had a
few minutes to kill before we boarded the plane at Cairns so I
thought I'd give it a whirl and see how it went. As you probably
know from the logs, I got a 9600 Baud connect and my reply PKT went
up to you quite smoothly. The second Tuesday PKT which was about 15k
came back smoothly but it spat the dummy on the first Wednesday PKT
at about 14k. The PKT was about 42k from memory. I waited a while
and tried it again and had similar results, it connected at 9600 and
got to about 12k this time before it spat the dummy.

Now that I'm home, I'll try it once more on the batphone and it this
goes into the dumper, I'll plug it into the land-line. It would be
nice if it works properly.
