| subject: | has RIME died ?? |
-> I wonder if RIME Relay Net Conferences has quit. -> -> Todd Cochrane is pulling the plug on his NETSBBS -> that carried many RIMEs -> -> Ed Koon had to discontinue the RIMEs he had been -> carrying because they were being bombed with old -> messages up to 4 years old. -> -> Moondog BBS and others don't respond lately. -> -> ?????????????????????? -> -> Ciao, Ack. -> -> --- -> þ SLMR 2.1a þ Enjoy a Happy Holiday of your choice. -> 218/903 Weird... a "message burp" *USUALLY* means that an "oldtimer" has rejoined the network and somehow messed up the message rescanning. SpitFire boards used to do this all the time. It was known as the 'BCSCUTI Burp' because the BCSCUTI utility had a problem with rescanning. This is usually a sign that the network *IS COMING BACK TO LIFE* rather than it is declining.... The correct response is something like "Shame on Sysop XXXXX ! ..." --- ViaMAIL!/WC v1.60d-> * Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) * Origin: Chowdanet (401-331-0615) telnet://chowdanet.com (1:323/120) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 323/120 10/3 106/2000 633/267 |
